Mice , bad management with negative attitude, getting more and more expensive , careless maintenance

Promoted as "luxury apartments". There aren't any rats or bugs and the maintenance guys are great. There's a pool, a fenced in area for people's dogs to run loose, a fenced in plot of land where people pay to grow vegetables, and a small playground with some rough edges. But, mostly? Mostly there are chain smokers. You'll stroll the acreage finding hundreds of cigarette butts with the occasional bag of dog poo. It's a shame because you can tell this place probably was considered "luxury" at one... point

I first lived at the Radwyn Apartments with my family back in the late 1960s through the early '70s, which was during my college years and just beyond. So when in 2014, and after having spent a year at the worst-built and worst-managed building--which will remain nameless--I've ever lived in, I moved back to Radwyn, I knew what I was getting into. Aside from amenities which include spacious grounds, a well-equipped playground area for children, swimming pool, fitness center, summertime movie... nights, and a forthcoming community center, Radwyn is possibly THE most appealing apartment complex on Philadelphia's Main Line. Both management and maintenance are among the friendliest and most responsive people any resident could hope for, and the pet-friendly complex itself is very convenient to plenty of shopping and one of the finest hospitals in the Philly suburbs.

I have been living in a two bedroom/two bath unit in Radwyn for almost 3 years now. I'll attempt to be as unbiased as possible.
My unit, along with every unit I have been in, is very spacious and was turned over to me in a very clean and renovated condition. I should also note that throughout my three years, I have noticed that management and staff consistently renovates and updates units between renters, and as such, new renters will most likely be happily satisfied with the condition of the... apartment going in. I have lived with a roommate all years and the open space and storage space within the unit has been more than sufficient for both of our needs (as two active young guys, we have the need for personal space and have it here).
Parking is always available, although if you return home on the later side of rush hour(I'd say after 7pm), you may have to park slightly further away, however the furthest I have ever parked is one building away (the complex is separated in alphabetically titled buildings) and the walk was still relatively short. If you absolutely need to park right outside of your building, Radwyn recently began renting reserved spots; I don't know the exact monthly cost, but many residents have reserved spots and neighbors don't seem to have an issue.
My unit comes with a washer/dryer which is extremely convenient for me, and there are laundry rooms throughout the complex if your unit does not have one. There is a "fitness center" that has free weights, a few machines, three treadmills, and two stationary bikes. I wouldn't consider this center top of the line, however if you cannot get to your usual gym in the snow or due to time constraints, the fitness center is a decent alternative.
From my perspective, it looks like the majority of the other renters are families, usually with elementary school aged children. I would say that generally Radwyn is a quiet community where you can have your peace and quiet. One point of concern is that the walls are on the thin side, as with most two story apartment setups, and you may end up next to a particularly noisy neighbor. During my three years, I was once next to a renter that was abnormally loud, but I am not personally easily disturbed and was able to deal with it.
Overall, Radwyn has been a pleasant experience. I've had a few complaints, however most of those were between residents and I think were isolated incidents and do not reflect on Radwyn as a whole.

I have lived at the Radwyn for three years now, and have had both a one bed, one bath apartment, as well as the much larger two bed, two bath. I have loved both unbelievably. When I first moved to the area, I looked at tons and tons of apartment complexes, and did not find anything that remotely compared to the Radwyn. Between the gorgeous and reasonable apartments, to the unbelievable pool, to the many acres of gorgeous grounds, Radwyn has something for everyone from singles to families, and is... incredibly close to the beautiful town of Bryn Mawr. The office staff is lovely, and maintenance is highly responsive. I could not ask for more from an apartment complex.
