I moved from Chicago to Philadelphia in 2017 and lived at the Flats at Brewerytown for a little over 7 years in 2 bedroom 1 and 1/2 bath unit. The unit itself was a spacious 3rd floor unit with 2 floors within the unit. Greatest feature is the unit has 2 balconies. However, closet and storage space is limited. Ideal location close to Aldi in more attractive part of Brewerytown.
I worked with several property management teams during this time and the current is best. Aviva and Theresa are... professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. The maintenance team led by Keith is great. Any issues I had over the years were addressed and resolved within a timely manner and most effectively by the current management team. The property is secure and the management team works diligently to provide a comfortable, safe, and clean living experience for tenants. Most neighbors are friendly and helpful.
Recommendations for improvement are more attention to hallways and stairs, specifically painting and cleaning carpets more often. My move out experience was positive and fair. The only reason I moved is I was tried of going up 3 flights of stairs to get to my unit and looking for a more suburban lifestyle.

DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! Streamwood Property Management is absolutely horrible! I was a tenant for two years and had nothing but issues from the beginning. I dealt with plumbing issues, overflowing toilets, leaking showers, rotten cabinets that took management 3 months to fix, rusted washer/dryer that left my clothes smelling worse than when I put them in the washer, greasy back splash and stove that wasn’t cleaned before I moved in, not to mention the countless break-ins... and theft. On top of that the office staff changes practically every 2-3 months. I recently moved out and was charged $100 for an oven cleaning fee and over $700 to replace so-called heavily soiled carpet that literally had only 2 to 3 dots on it that could have easily been cleaned via shampooing. Stay away and DO NOT sign a lease!
